By creating an account and using PhoenixLog, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. What PhoenixLog Is
PhoenixLog is a personal writing tracker that lets you draft, organize, and track progress on your writing projects. It is provided as-is, and we may add, change, or remove features over time.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account, since sign-in is handled via email magic links. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Your chosen display name cannot be changed once set. Choose carefully.
4. Your Content
You retain full ownership of everything you write on PhoenixLog. We do not claim any rights to your writing, and we do not use it to train AI models, for marketing, or share it with third parties, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for the content you create, upload, or import into PhoenixLog. You agree not to upload or import content that infringes on someone else's copyright or other legal rights.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use PhoenixLog for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, including through excessive automated requests
- Use the service to store or distribute malicious content
6. Account Termination
You may delete individual projects at any time from within the app, and may request deletion of your entire account by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. No Warranty
PhoenixLog is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption at rest, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PhoenixLog and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or writing. We strongly encourage you to periodically export your work (via the built-in .txt or .docx export) as a personal backup.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of PhoenixLog after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
